Here are 12 iPad shortcuts to save you time and make life easier (try some on your iPhone too)
- To quickly and easily mute your iPad just hold down the volume button*
- To copy a full paragraph of text just tap on it four times*
- To turn on caps lock on your iPad, double tap on Shift. To turn it off again, just tap on Shift once more
- To save an image from the web, just tap and hold on the image and choose Save Image
- Tap twice on your spacebar at the end of a sentence to automatically add a full stop and space
- To get back to the top of a web page, just tap on the title bar
- To quickly type a web address into Safari, just tap and hold the '.com' key to choose from .edu, .org, .net and more
- For a similar shortcut in Mail, just press and hold the dot (.) key to easily complete an email address
- If your numeric keyboard shows the pound sign (£), just tap and hold that key to see other currencies
- To add an accent to a letter, just press and hold that letter to see all the options
- To quickly use something from the numeric keyboard, just tap & hold the 123 button and drag it over the symbol you want to use, then let go. You'll automatically return to the letter keyboard
- To add a shortcut to your favourite website to your home screen, just press the '+' icon and tap 'Add to home screen'.
